6.30 version of firmware introduce new mechanism of describing time for cost free firmware change. Changing the firmware will be free, if PBX installation date is less than a year from publishing the software version we want to upgrade.

Operating principle:

1. Information about "Installation date" is saved in PBX SDN key.
2. In every new PBX there is a information about "firmware publication date" - available HERE.
3. If difference between "Installation date" and "firmware publication date" is greater than one year, then licence key for firmware is necessary. Without it, CLIP in PBX will be blocked.

Additional informations:

1. "Installation date" is writed in SDN key, so when controller card is replayced, switching SDN key, will save the date to a new controller.

2. Since "Installation date", we have one year to upgrade PBX to any new version that has been published.

3. In ConfigMAN in table "PABX" there are information about:

  • Possible firmware update published to (information about, when up to we can change freely firmware version)
  • Installation date (2 weeks - motohours, since first run)

Warning! No matter, if PBX has more or less than one year, before upgrading from 6.22 to 6.30, ConfigMAN will inform about required licence key.
Changing the method of calculating free licence keys system is not implemented and recognized by PBX.
After the process is finished, in ConfigMAN we will see real time for free upgrade.
